AYNOR HIGH SCHOOL ARMY JROTC "BLUE JACKET BATTALION"

"VICTORIA PER SCIENTIAM"

VICTORY THROUGH KNOWLEDGE

The Aynor High School Junior Reserve Officer's Training Corps (JROTC) is an academic elective authorized by the Horry County School Board and the United States Army. Enrollment in Army JROTC is a significant step toward a rewarding future. Cadets' successes in this program are a result of dedication, hard work, and development into Cadet leaders. While Army JROTC provides an opportunity to acquire a basic understanding of our military, its primary mission is to “motivate young people to be better citizens.”

The Aynor Army JROTC Battalion is a Cadet lead program providing valuable leadership experience recognized by colleges, national scholarship programs, and potential employers. Graduates who elect to enlist in the US Army have an advantage over their peers upon successful completion of our program. They will receive a promotion to Private First Class (E-3) [may change due to army personnel needs] as well as the corresponding increased pay.

The goal of this program is to help prepare each Cadet to enter adulthood after graduation. Whether Cadets’ goals are to attend a service academy, college, the military, a trade school or to immediately enter the workforce, our program will provide an educational and leadership experience offered nowhere else on campus.

Academically qualified Cadets will have the opportunity to apply for Service Academy appointments and Senior ROTC scholarships leading to a commission as a Second Lieutenant. Completing Army JROTC provides a significant advantage when competing for these coveted programs.

 VISION:

A Cadet centered, and Cadet lead program focused on mission success by sustaining an organization that values competence, strong leadership, teamwork, diversity, character, community involvement, and personal responsibility while providing its members the opportunity for personal growth and a higher sense of purpose.

CADET HONOR CODE:

The Cadet Honor Code serves as the foundation of character development at Aynor High School. Every Cadet is trusted not to lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those dishonest behaviors by other cadets. This creates a baseline of honest behavior and a culture that supports character growth.

"A CADET WILL NOT LIE, CHEAT, STEAL, OR TOLERATE THOSE WHO DO"
